How I got 9 Fastpasses at once at the Magic Kingdom

How I got 9 Fastpasses at once at the Magic Kingdom

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

Update:  This method will stop working on January 14, 2014 when the Magic Kingdom eliminates the use of paper Fastpasses.

Today I was testing out Fastpass+ some more and riding rides, taking videos and photos etc…  I was using FP+ to actually ride most rides and just collected the paper ones to tell this story.  I’m still working on the post that explains how I was able to use the My Disney Experience app to successfully ride 8 consecutive rides using Fastpass+ with one account and one Magic Band.  I hope to have that ready this weekend.  That information isn’t a “glitch” and it isn’t “phantom” Fastpass+ that sometimes plague this new system.  It’s a way I found is possible to get as many Fastpass+ as I wish in a day and can even Park Hop using FP+.  That info will be coming real soon.  And probably quickly changed by Disney after posting :)

Today, I wish to explain how I was able to obtain 9 Fastpasses at the same time that included 3 Fastpass+ and 6 paper Fastpasses.  I recently wrote about my experience in the Animal Kingdom using the same ideas in a post entitled “How to get 6 Fastpasses at once at Animal Kingdom.

The Gear:

  • One Magic Band (RFID) – it was tied to the MyMagic+ and Fastpass+ and My Disney Experience (MDE) app via a one night room only stay at a Disney Value resort earlier in the fall.  The Magic Band and MDE provide users with 3 FP+ each.
  • One Room ONLY Key to the World (KTTW) Card.  (If you use this advice, be watchful because Disney has been “testing” or rolling out resorts with no paper Fastpass access via KTTW cards.  Pop Century recently became the first.  Eventually, all resorts will be FP+ only)
  • One RFID enabled Annual Pass – I have the plastic version that has the RFID chip embedded within.  I can also tap this at any FP+ location in lieu of using the actual Magic Band)  A ticket that a person purchases from an outside vendor or at Disney World gates would function the same for the paper Fastpasses.

The Bounty:

  1. Magic Words with Mickey – Paper Fastpass (This FP is not “connected” to the system and doesn’t count against any other paper FP distribution.  You can get this and then immediately get another, different FP for a different attraction.)  I used my Annual Pass   I acquired this last because I knew it was not connected and made sure to include it in the story.
  2. Dumbo – Paper Fastpass  (This FP is not “connected” to the system and doesn’t count against any other paper FP distribution.  You can get this and then immediately get another, different FP for a different attraction.)  I used my Annual Pass
  3. The Barnstormer – Paper Fastpass (This FP is not “connected” to the system and doesn’t count against any other paper FP distribution.  You can get this and then immediately get another, different FP for a different attraction.)  I used the Room Only KTTW.
  4. Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid – Paper Fastpass.  I used the Room Only KTTW.  (This could be ANY Fastpass.  I just chose it because it was simple)
  5. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Paper Fastpass.  I used my Annual Pass  (This could be ANY Fastpass.  I just chose it because it was simple, but you wouldn’t receive the usually unnecessary Mickey’s Philharmagic FP)
  6. Mickey’s Philharmagic – Bonus Paper Fastpass, it was distributed with the Winnie the Pooh Fastpass

7, 8 & 9. Choose any 3 Fastpass+ entitlements.  For example, I could hold Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain  Railroad and Splash Mountain.

If I had begun the test right at park opening, I could easily have gained FP for 11 different rides within 45 minutes of park opening and walked right onto several before there was even a wait.

Are these three the only non-connected rides for the old fast-pass system in MK? Do you know of any in the other parks as well? Is this info still current as far as you know? I think I read on another of your blogs DINOSAUR is not connected as well? Thanks so much for your help!!

Dinosaur is disconnected in Animal Kingdom. I've reported about it here several times including this post: http://kennythepirate.com/2013/11/01/how-to-get-6-fastpasses-at-once-at-animal-kingdom/ As of last week, all these were still disconnected from the system. I haven't found any disconnected FP in Epcot or Hollywood Studios.
