Walt Disney wanted the Disney Parks to continue to change and grow throughout the years. Many times as Disney fans, we do not like to see changes to our favorite attractions and lands.

Disney Parks keep moving forward, Last summer, Disney revealed a new interactive experience  “Smellephants on Parade”. This new family-friendly search and sniff adventure will be located in Fantasyland’s Storybook Circus.

We feel as though we have been sharing small updates for this attraction for a while, but recently big progress was made with a new permit filed along with set removal at Big Top Souvenirs.

New Experience

Today we get our first look at the “Smellophants on Parade.” As guests enter the Storybook Circus, Timothy Mouse posts signage for a “casting call” seeking a “Whiff-sistant”. Are you up for the job?

Next month, get started at the ticket booth in front of Big Top Souvenirs. Cast Members provide guests with an illustrated map of the land and a sticker sheet to guide them in their first task as a “Whiff-sistant.”

The task, if you choose to accept it, locate all 8 pachyderms throughout Storybook Circus. Once located, attach the correct sticker to your map. This sounds like so much fun!

The first “Smellophant” is now on display with a Disney favorite “popcorn”. We can’t wait to get a “smell” of this pachyderm very soon.

Along with this new pal, additional “Smellophants” will join including themes of cotton candy, churros, and more. The best part is this new experience and map will be FREE and available for guests to enjoy “next month” according to Disney.

If you love free, interactive experiences, be sure to check out how you can help Captain Jack raid the “Treasures of the Seven Seas!” also at Magic Kingdom.
