July 4th season brings great patrotic firework shows to Walt Disney World, but it also creates large crowds. Be prepared for people staking out prime spots for the shows hours in advance.
Magic Kingdom: “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” will be offered on July 3 and July 4 at 9:00 pm. I recommend watching this show on the 3rd, so you can enjoy another park’s show on the 4th. I like to stand in the street near Casey’s For the best view. Don’t get too close to castle, or you’ll miss low level shots.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: “Rockin’ 4th of July Celebration”, with music presented by the park’s house band Mulch, Sweat and Shears at 9:45 pm. I prefer to stand in front of the Five & Dime store with a clear view of the Sorcerer’s Hat.
Epcot: Epcot will offer a special ending called, “The Heartbeat of Freedom” to IllumiNations at 10:00 pm. Because it’s presented in 360 degrees, just make sure you’re not downwind.
Neither Animal Kingdom nor Downtown Disney will offer fireworks.
