The Newly Refurbished Epcot Character Spot opening Monday, June 3, 2013

The old Epcot Character Spot will reopen tomorrow, June 3, 2013 at park opening.  It will replace the temporary location that Epcot has been using since the original location closed October 21, 2012 for refurbishment.  The new sets look very similar to the old ones.  I actually preferred the backdrops in the temporary location over the new sets.   The old set is in the photo above.

The old Epcot Character Spot included Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald.

This is the Temporary location photos

When the characters were moved to the Temporary location Stitch was removed from Epcot and Donald was only available in Mexico (He no longer offers regular meets in his sailor suit.  Your best bet is a random Epcot Training Session.)

This arrangement will continue with the New Epcot Character Spot

Mickey will use his special magic in the New Epcot Character Spot and offer shorter wait times and FASTPASS+ once that system is rolled out.  What do you think?  I liked the Temporary location backdrops better!
