Meeting some characters at the Magic Kingdom with my little girl

Meeting some characters at the Magic Kingdom with my little girl

My little girl and I set out to test some Touring Plan ideas for the Magic Kingdom today and met some great characters along the way.  If you’d like to see the results of our test, just check out my Facebook page.

Merida at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World

We were the first people at the rope, but didn’t run. We still ended up being the first guests of the day. It’s still silly that they make you wait 15 extra minutes for no real reason. They chatted about arrows and Princess lessons.

Rosetta at Magic Kingdom in Disney World

We met Rosetta in Tink’s Nook and waited 22 minutes despite entering at 9:22am. Debbie wanted to talk about baseball season, but Rosetta was interested in the Flower and Garden Festival or something.

Tinker Bell at Magic Kingdom in Disney World

We met Bell after a 22 minute wait. She was more interested in talking baseball. She said they made a snowball, tossed it and hit it with a stick. They didn’t know which snowflake to catch and didn’t have bases.

Woody and Jessie at Magic Kingdom in Disney World

Jessie was excited to see Buzz’s autograph and Debbie asked her to show her Hoedown moves. Woody stepped in and handled the task. Debbie and Woody danced together. It was a cute moment.

Brer Bear at Magic Kingdom in Disney World

We met Brer Bear right after the Frotierland Hoedown. The characters didn’t stay around long. She really wanted to meet Brer Rabbit, but he ran away quickly.

Buzz Lightyear at Magic Kingdom in Disney World

We met Buzz Lightyear at his regular meet in Tomorrowland. We entered the line right before it closed around 2:00pm and waited about 20 minutes. Debbie showed him Jessie’s autograph and he was rather excited.

Question : how do you become the MK guest of the day? I remember seeing this last year at park open. Is there anyone to contact and is this something that has to be done way in advance?

Love these pictures! Just curious, were the characters that stayed after the Hoedown willing to sign autographs?
