Banzai Pipeline in Oahu, Hawaii

Banzai Pipeline in Oahu, Hawaii

While we were in Hawaii, we took over 4,000 photos.  I’m slowly making my way through them to present a few here and there as well as some overviews of some of the scenic and tourist spots that we visited.  We couldn’t visit the world famous “Banzai Pipeline” without sharing a few shots with you.

The Banzai Pipeline along the northwest shore of Oahu is famous for producing waves of 20 to 30 feet high in the winter months.  We visited during the early summer, so the waves were more like 7 feet tall which is still pretty good for a boy born in Alabama.  The waves were making some nice curls and the local surfers seemed to enjoy their morning.  If you’d like to see a larger view of a photo, click on it, then click on the size of the photo above it.
