Each year Disney Springs transforms into a winter wonderland with festive displays, colorful lights and special entertainment. 2016 will be no different with some great holiday opportunities.
From November 14 through January 8 guests will enjoy a fun, festive atmosphere that will include a nightly Tree Lighting ceremony, a holiday DJ dance party, a Santa meet and greet and the Festival of Trees.
The nightly Tree Lighting will occur in front of Once Upon a Toy store and the DJ Dance party will be in the main stage area. You’ll also find Christmas carolers and Toy Soldier Stilt Walkers in the area from 6pm to 10pm during the celebration.
Also, you’ll be able to enjoy the Festival of Holiday Trees where you’ll see a large collection of Disney themed decorated Christmas trees. You’ll also be able to take selfies with large toy sculptures throughout Disney Springs.
Santa will return to meet in his chalet as he has in years past. His meet and greet area is located near the water, across from the Disney Store and Ghiradelli. Santa will be available from November 14 through December 24. From December 25 to 30 Santa Goofy will take over for the Big Guy as he returns to the North Pole.
Guests who wish to meet Santa are required to check in at the podium at the chalet and they are given a pager that will notify you when it’s time to return. You’re free to shop or eat in the area while you wait. Santa will be available to hear Christmas list wishes from 12 noon until 10pm nightly.
Are you looking forward to celebrating Christmas at Disney Springs?
