The Magic Kingdom transformed into a Winter Wonderland over the last couple of nights. I appears that there’s still a few more decroations missing from last year, so they could still be setting things up. The Castle dream lights were finally lit for the first time last night. I was on hand to get you a bunch of photos and funny comments. Take a look!
As you enter the Magic Kingdom, there’s new purple flower and an advertisement for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Seems a little understated, perhaps it’s not completed? As you enter the TTC and Magic Kingdom Christmas music is already playing. My friend Ryan said it was too early because the Lions haven’t even lost the annual football game yet.
I watched the first Cinderella Castle Lighting of the season. It’s called A Frozen Holiday Wish. Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf take over the castle and decide that it needs some sprucing up. Nothing like renting someone’s house and throwing on a free coat of paint, right? The show is performed nightly and the schedule is always on Character Locator.
Olaf was really excited to bling out Cindy’s place with some lights. He loves summer a lot, but seems fond of Christmas lights too.
Bang, hit ya with some giant snowflakes!
Boom, throw in some fireworks blasts and a few hundred thousand LED efficient bulbs and we are lit baby. Do they directly connect this thing to the Mickey shaped solar farm near Epcot?
I hope you guys don’t mind if I decorate my house like this. Maybe I should rent it out for a month and return and see if the renters throw some lights on the place? If you like any of these photos, click on them for a larger sized view. If you don’t like any of these photos, I can send you to some other Disney blogs with much worse ones or blogs that just use mine or other bloggers without giving credit.
I’ll need to add some pointy things on top of the house and a couple next door. Think the neighbors will mind?
They seem happy with the idea. Looks like I got the Dad’s blessing. Thanks Dad!
It’s pretty amazing how fast the decorations team not only removed Halloween, but decorated for Christmas and got the castle ready for Christmas.
Garlands and bows and twinkling lights fill Town Square, Main Street and the Castle hub. The Magic Kingdom doesn’t usually extend decorations through the whole park, so live with what we give you or we’ll take them away like that big light show we used to give you for many years.
It’s Florida, so we are supposed to decorate with citrus. Speaking of citrus, I went to the Ice Cream shop in France in Epcot and ordered the Chocolate and Orange Ice Cream and it had bits of orange rind in it. Bleh, not my thing. I don’t want rind in my ice cream. Only thing rind that’s any good is pork rind and that would be even more gross in my ice cream. My friend liked his peanut and fudge though.
Stop rambling and show us pictures!
Castle is framed well by the Main Street buildings, don’t you think?
In a effort to maintain the highest security standards, not only do we go through bag searches, scanners and wands to enter the park, but we have soldiers guarding the place too. Okay, okay, they are just TOY soldiers. I relent, but those candy canes would be deadly if consumed in one evening or you smacked someone on the head with one.
Smile and say, “Snowflake” Oh man, I took the picture on the word Snow!
My timing really stinks on these smiles these days. I must have been tired from a day at Epcot before heading over.
I’m telling you, these soldier guys are EVERYWHERE in Town Square. Hopefully, you’ll feel really safe. Or, well, your toys will feel safe anyway.
Debbie couldn’t decide if she liked the picture above or below. Vote in the comments or on Facebook for the better photo and we may send the other one to the Island of Misfit Toys. Top or Bottom? It’s not a Presidential election, you won’t lose Facebook friends over it.
They’re getting the joint ready for the fat guy in a red suit. That’s Santa for those who are uninformed with our American humor. Hello International visitors! Yes Santa will meet next to City Hall soon, which will bump Snow White back to the Theater exit or on the streets or roaming Fantasyland or working the mines or something. I’m sure that application the pirate guy created will tell you.
By the time you read this it will be 51 days (or less if you don’t visit my website daily) until Christmas!!! What are you guys buying me this year? Visit to France? Visit to Tokyo? New pair of shoes for heel spurs?
I checked and my name is on the nice list right now. Whew!
If you subscribed to… No I’m just kidding.
Can’t go wrong with a well placed ornament photo. Classy.
I kinda miss the See Ya Real Soon. Couldn’t we spell that out in the citrus instead of putting it in my ice cream?
The Mickey Floral is a mound of Christmas flowers and there’s a Photopass photographer standing right underneath my camera waiting to take that wonderful Christmas photo of Susie with chocolate on her dress from the Mickey Ice Cream, little Johnny passed out in the stroller, Dad wanting to visit Epcot instead and you with the 76 step detailed battle plan. Smile everyone! Say, “Snowflake!”
If you like Facebook Headers, click this pic below and then save it and post it on your page. Just mention that you snagged it here or we’ll have to move you over to the switches and ashes line at Target in a few weeks.
Hope you enjoyed the photos, now back to college football and Thanksgiving Turkey preparation. What do you mean you can’t fry a frozen turkey, really?

Does Disney publish times and singers for the Christmas taping? I have read dates but no specific times or who will be performing.

Disney doesn't publish that info, but it sometimes leaks out.
