Castle Lighting at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Bill was out selling all the blinky stuff you’d ever need right before the parade.  The Christmas light bulb necklace was a huge seller again this year.  I think they were selling it for $16.  Wouldn’t it be funny if they charged $20 and pocketed the tips?  Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Oh, balloons!  Sorry, couldn’t resist.  The parade marches right through here.  I think they were actually impressed by the little girl on the guys shoulders behind me.Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Do you like Mickey and Minnie’s new smiles in the parade?Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016I remember being in awe of seeing Olaf for the first time a couple of years ago, now I’m like “That carrot would be great in a beef stew.”  Some dinners are worth melting for!Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Mad props to the guys who dig for ice in Central Florida.  I wouldn’t be able to survive the brutal summers here without you guys!  Much love fellas.Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

How do I trade in my Kia for this?  I could create the first ever Candy Uber.  I guess I’d have to prevent kids from eating my car every day though, huh?Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Free hugs!  Don’t try kids, you’ll get run over by a house.Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Kewt, right?Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Some people were freaking out on a message board because they thought Goofy was cut from the parade.  No worries, he is back on top of his candy float for the Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.  Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Dopey!!!  Wave at me Dopey!   Hey, guys, Dopey waved at me!Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

We can’t afford full sized horses here these days with all the budget cutting.  We only have ponies.  We rent them out right after the parade for rides.  Okay, they actually are Cinderella’s horses and the rental price is $2000 per half hour, per child.

Must be fun, but exhausting to dance in a Disney parade.  I can’t even do the Hokey Pokey very well.  When they tell me to “Put your whole self in” I just fall apart.Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Yeehaw!  It’s a parade.  Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Hula hooping anyone?Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

One of many guests favorite parts of this parade is the marching toy soldiers.  If you’re wondering, they actually play real music.  That’s why they don’t have cell phones like that earlier show.Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Hey KtP, we got you something for Christmas!Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

The parade always ends with the fat guy in a red suit sitting way up high waving at the throngs.  That whole keeping an eye on you and making a list thing worries me.  It makes me feel like someone at Disney is sitting in a trailer reading every Disney themed social media post that is written, then deciding who gets the stay on the “media” list.  It’s not worth it for the free food.Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Santa says, “Hey pirate, I’ve got my eye on you.”Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

After the parade I caught the end of the VoicePlay show in Tomorrowland.  They are very talented and a super nice bunch of guys.  They were willing to take a photo with fans.  Don’t worry guys, no blinkies!Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

I was so excited to be able to SIT on the ground and watch the Totally Tomorrowland Christmas show on the stage.  Wouldn’t it be awesome if everyone would sit for shows and fireworks, then EVERYONE could see.  On another note, isn’t Mike “One Eyed” Wazowski’s outfit pretty cool?

The Buzz Lightyear meets M.C. Hammer portion of this show is always my least favorite, but overall I enjoy the Stitch tries to mess up Christmas before saving the day approach.  Stitch is a good guy with a bad ride that will get gutted eventually.  He’s still standing around the Flag Pole each day for some odd reason.Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Ta da!Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

I then dropped into the “Club Tinsel” area inside Cosmic Ray’s in Tomorrowland.  Phineas and Ferb were given the boot and the Reindeer, some Polar Bears and Elves are joined with a live DJ pumping out all tunes.  This is not a hunters convention and there’s no autographs, just dancing and selfies while dancing.Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016 Once Upon a Christmastime at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2016

Disney with a 3 and 7 year old dec 11-13... was going to do MK dec 11 which is a party day. Have breakfast at chef mickeys at 10:30 (only time we could get). Should we do MK during the day or just do party that night?? Mainly for rides not characters... thanks!

Can you find Belle in her Christmas dress anymore? (I'm a Character Locator member, and did look there first-I'm thinking since it isn't listed, it probably doesn't happen, but did want to ask.) Thank you, Kenny!
