Disney World to offer $150 monorail “Highway in the Sky” Dining Package
A new dining package offer by the Walt Disney World resort will give you “priority boarding” for the monorail on a dining journey around the various monorail resorts.
Disney – You’ll start the journey by checking in at The Wave…of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for a welcome cocktail, then board the monorail to be whisked off to Disney’s Polynesian Resort to celebrate the spirit of the South Pacific with island-inspired sips and appetizers.
Hop back on the monorail and head to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, stepping into the elegant hotel to enjoy a sumptuous entrée with wine pairing at award-winning Cítricos. After dinner, sip sparkling wine and sample artisanal cheese in the lavish lobby.
Then head back to the monorail for a final stop at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for dessert, cordials and coffee on a private patio with the Magic Kingdom Park fireworks over Cinderella Castle as your backdrop.
Highway in the Sky Dine-Around is offered Tuesday, Friday and Sunday beginning Dec. 2. Reservations open Nov. 29. (No dine-around between Dec. 23 and Dec. 31). Cost is $150 gratuity included, tax is additional. Valet parking is included. For reservations, 407-WDW-DINE.

- The Highway in the Sky Dine Around is offered select Tuesday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
- Reservations must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid forfeiting the full price of the experience.
- Check-in takes place at The Wave… of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at the time of your reservation. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of check-in time.
- Guests must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcoholic beverages. A valid form of government identification will be required to verify your age.
- Please alert the host at check-in regarding food allergies. Wherever possible, alternative dining selections will be offered.
- Disney dining plan entitlements may not be redeemed for this event.
- Discounts and promotions are not valid for this event.
- Dining experience is subject to change; fireworks experience is subject to change or cancellation without notice.

I agree! We are not drinkers, but think this sounds like a lot of fun. Don't want to pay for something we are not going to consume. Especially when it sounds like a big part of it.

I think this could be really neat. One of my questions is... or comments...I almost never drink. I lack an enzyme that breaks down wine so I usually pass. I know that the costs of alcohol is one reason for the price. I wish Disney would offer a non-alcoholic price alternative for these events. I may still try it sometime, but I often feel like I pay double what it would cost without alcohol.
