Disney confirmed today at the D23 Expo that a new point-to-point transportation systems that are being dubbed “Minnie Vans” will be offered at Walt Disney World.
The vehicles will be minvans theme to Minnie Mouse’s classic red and white polka dots scheme. The vans will pick you up from any point in Walt Disney World and transport you to your choice of locations within the resort.
“Since we’re all about exceeding guest expectations and making every aspect of your vacation uniquely Disney, we’re creating a new point-to-point transportation service in a way that only Disney can do,” Bob Chapek said.
There will be an additional fee for this service. Van service is said to cost $20 per trip per vehicle.
Would you pay extra to ride in a Minnie Van vs using a public service like Uber or Disney’s free transportation system?

I use Uber all the time. But, most people at Disney don't. And those people, who are nervous about Uber, are the people who would more likely consider using this service. If you have 6 people, you need 2 cars, or a more expensive Uber car, so if these vans fit the traditional 7 people plus a stroller, this service makes lots of sense.

Kenny, any idea if this service will take you right to Magic Kingdom, same as the bus transportation? In that case it might be worth it.
