Disney Cruise Line Debuts New Nautical Navy Collection

Disney Cruise Line Debuts New Nautical Navy Collection

On the heels of the announcement of the 2021 Itineraries, Disney Cruise Line is rolling out new merchandise with a nautical theme.  Said to pay homage to the ships’ navy hull and the beautiful blue of the ocean.  Here’s the scoop on both the merchandise and the 2021 itineraries on which you can  you can wear it!

Lovers of Disney World fashion are probably familiar with the Disney World “color story collection”. Recent additions to the color story include “Arendelle Aqua” and “Imagination Pink”.  The Nautical Navy installation will only be available for purchase on board Disney Cruise line ships, according to the Disney parks Blog. You will also  see in this collection a little touch of rose gold, which contrasts nicely with the navy.

Let’s take a look! All photos from the Disney Parks Blog.

First, we have a variety of Loungefly bags and wallets:

Models show off the “belt bag” and wallet inside the atrium.
I’m not much for backpacks, but I have my eye on that lanyard as DCL still uses key to the world cards and you need something to carry it in. Why not sparkly navy with Mickey ears?

You’ll also find Mouse ears, check out this closeup of the new Rose Gold and Nautical Navy Minnie ears:

If you’re like me, and need to back away from purchasing any additional mouse themed accessories, never fear! The Line also features some cute apparel. There’s a sparkly Mickey tee and of course the obligatory spirit jersey.

Seeing Mickey in Navy reminds me of the anecdote they tell on the cruise ships that they made the hull navy because black made it look “too scary”. Otherwise, the ships stick to Mickey’s color palette.
Show your enthusiasm for DCL with this spirit jersey!

Also, this week in the world of Disney Cruising, we are all looking forward to the opening day of bookings for 2021!  On September 30th, Castaway club members with platinum status and Golden Oak Residents started booking their 2021 sailings!

On October 1, bookings open for Gold Castaway Club Members. On Wednesday, October 2, those of us in the silver castaway category, as well as DVC members and Adventures by Disney Insiders will be able to see pricing and book their staterooms.

Finally, on Thursday, October 4, anyone can book a 2021 itinerary! Conventional wisdom dictates that opening day pricing is the best you’ll get without a military or Florida resident last minute rate. It certainly will allow you the largest selection of staterooms!

For 2021, DCL returns to the port of New Orleans for select sailings. They also added two new itineraries, Yucatan and Santa Catalina Island. Check out this article from one of our writers for more detail on these offerings!

As soon as my husband saw they were offering cruises out of New Orleans again, he texted me that we have to book one! And who am I to crush his dreams of taking us on more Disney vacations? Even without the onboard credit that Disney Cruise line dropped from its promotional bookings last week, a placeholder is still a great way to save on your next Disney Cruise if you have a sailing coming up.

A placeholder allows you to put down a fully refundable $250 deposit in order to book an upcoming cruise in the next 2 years at a 10% discount. Placeholders are booked on board the ship during your sailing.

What do you think of the new merchandise? Are you getting excited to sail the high seas with Mickey and Friends in 2021?
