VIDEO: First Look at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway!

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is the long-anticipated ride that is replacing the now-closed attraction called “The Great Movie Ride” at Hollywood Studios at Disney World.

That ride closed in 2017, and guests have been eager to get more details on the new ride. Well, now we’ve got our first look at the attraction – check out the video below!

While not much about the ride has been revealed, we just reported last week that Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be open for guests on March 4, 2020.

Isn’t the poster for the new ride so cute?!

Disney has described the attraction as: “once you step into the cartoon world of Mickey and Minnie, you’ll board a train with Goofy as the engineer. Then, one magical moment after the next leads you to a zany, out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns.”

This will be the first Disney ride-through attraction featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse that will draw guests inside a Mickey cartoon for a fun-filled adventure where “Mouse rules apply” and anything can happen.

It will have a 3-D effect without needing special 3D glasses.

During the Disney Channel holiday special, “Disney Channel Holiday Party @Walt Disney World,” viewers got a first look at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway rolling into Disney’s Hollywood Studios this spring and coming to Disneyland park in California in 2022.

Check out the first-look video below, hosted by Disney Channel’s “ZOMBIES 2” stars Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim.

I love the vibrant, cartoonish feel of this ride! My kids also love the Mickey shorts so this is bound to be a hit with them! I think the Steamboat Willie whistle bit is special too.

What do you think of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway? Are you excited to ride it? You won’t have to wait much longer!
