Exclusive: Walking Tour of Disney’s Riviera Resort

Exclusive: Walking Tour of Disney’s Riviera Resort

Disney’s Riviera Resort Pools

In this section, we will look at the magnificent pool areas and the splendid Peter Pan and Rapunzel murals that are not to be missed!

As you enter the pool and recreation area, you’ll find this map detailing the area. Take note that it mentions Topolino’s on the map, but that is located on the 10th floor of the Tower.

The Quiet Pool

As you enter the quiet pool area, you’ll notice this beautifully appointed entrance with MagicBand tap points. You must be a guest of the Riviera Resort to use the pools and recreation of this resort.

The quiet pool was not open at the time of the preview, but this gives you an overall view of this beautiful area which is located directly behind the lobby area on the first floor.

Behind the pool is a nice fire pit for roasting s’mores.

There is a nice beach area for you to work on your tan, but notice that all beach areas in Walt Disney World do NOT allow water entry due to potential threats like Alligators and Snakes.

The Family Pool and Slide

The family pool is larger and offers more shaded chairs for relaxing. The children will love the corkscrew water slide that makes it’s landing splash in this pool. Lifeguards are on-hand to assist and protect you.

Kids water play zone

Opposite the corkscrew slide is a small water play area for the little tikes in the family. It allows them to feel the thrill of a water slide, with little danger to them. It is themed to Fantasia as well!

Behind the pool is a faux lawn area with speakers. I assume they will be used for live presentations, games and the sort.

The Riviera Resort offers a full-service fitness center with dumbbell weights, treadmills and other workout machines.

The back lawn area also offers Bocce Ball and over-sized chess

Knight to Queen 4

In addition to many offerings for enjoyment and relaxation, the grounds are beautiful and the Peter Pan and Rapunzel murals are amazing.

The murals are located at the pass through where you enter the Skyliner. They start along the wall and wrap all the way around the ceiling to the opposite side.

As you would expect at Walt Disney World, the grounds are absolutely beautiful as well.

Now, click on PAGE 3 below for the final portion where I discuss the food and drink establishments at the Riviera Resort!
