Disney’s Animal Kingdom is pintroducing a fun new way to ring in the New Year, by offering a special pin trading opportunity throughout the park only on December 31, 2019!
Pin trading boards will be displaying over 90 pins located throughout the lands of Africa, Asia, DinoLand U.S.A. and Discovery Island. Displays will include Hidden Mickey pins and pins from Disney theme parks from around the world. This is a great opportunity for all of you pin traders out there!
If you are not familiar with pin trading, you can read more about it HERE.
Pin trading opportunities will be offered during the following times:
1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
2:45 – 3:45 p.m.
5:45 – 6:45 p.m.
7:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Pin traders will have to act fast though because you will have one minute (yes, you read that right, one minute!) to trade two (2) Disney pins off of the boards. So, be sure to get to those locations during each timeframe to see what’s new on each board!
Animal Kingdom is also offering a 2020 commemorative pin, a Limited Edition New Year’s Day pin for purchase beginning at 7:00 p.m. Only 1,000 will be produced! If you are interested in purchasing one, visit Discovery Trading Company beginning at 7:00 p.m. and you will receive a numbered wristband giving you an opportunity to purchase up to two (2) pins beginning at 7:00 p.m.
If you miss out on this opportunity, do not worry. There will be plenty of fun ways to celebrate 2020 in the parks!
Make sure to check out the Disney Parks 2020 Collection and pick up all brand new 2020 merchandise or the RunDisney 2020 merchandise!
If you missed out on booking one of the special New Year’s Eve dining events or celebrations in the parks, another writer wrote about her experience on New Year’s Eve at the Magic Kingdom here. Check it out for her experience and also be sure to check Kenny the Pirate here and on Facebook for updated crowd calendars and news.
Will you be participating in these fun pin trading opportunities at Animal Kingdom? What are the different ways you will be celebrating the New Year in the parks?
