As we prepare to stay home for the next few weeks, Disney fans everywhere are looking for fun, creative ways to spend their time. How would you like to learn how to draw Mickey Mouse with a Disney Parks Artist?
I can’t think of a better way to spend my extra time at home than to fill each day with as much Disney magic as I can.
Up first? Learn to draw Mickey! And what better teacher than a Disney Parks Artist!
Mickey Mouse is arguably the most iconic cartoon character in the world (and my personal favorite).
Thanks to Disney Parks Blog, we can now learn to draw our beloved Mickey Mouse at home with a complete series of how-to tutorials!
Disney Cast Member Stephen Ketchum has been drawing Mickey at Disney Parks for years. Now you can learn from him from the comfort of your own home!
You don’t need to be an expert like Stephen to learn how to draw Mickey. He has tips for artists of all skill levels.
There have been several different versions of Mickey since his debut in 1928. From classic to contemporary Mickey, he has reinvented himself several times!
If you have a particular favorite, Stephen Ketchum has a tutorial for you!
First up, my own personal favorite version of Mickey. The original, classic Mickey that was first introduced in the 1920s.
Next, you can try a more contemporary Mickey. This Mickey adds a few additional shapes to the classic version.
Finally, the tutorial for the newest version of our pal, the “pie-eyed Mickey.” This version is the Mickey you see in the new Mickey Shorts series.
If you’re looking for more fun how-to–draw tutorials, Disney Parks Blog has enough to keep you occupied for several weeks! Check them out!
We’d love to see your Mickeys! Share them on Kenny the Pirate’s Facebook Page, or join our crew and add them there!
