Running Universal Cancels Upcoming Troll Race

Universal Studios Hollywood hosts an official run every spring featuring Dreamwork’s Trolls. Unfortunately, they’ve decided not to hold this year’s run. Read their official statement and details on Universal Runs so you can start preparing for when they return.

Running Universal Events

Running Universal hosts a variety of fun runs that take place in both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Hollywood Resort. Universal designs these races for both the novice and more experienced runners.

Per Universal, “the chance to race surrounded by their favorite characters within some of the most immersive theme-park environments ever created.”

Race Course

Just like Run Disney, Running Universal offers participants the chance for character meet and greets, including photo-ops. You can also earn beautiful keepsake medals to add to your collection.

More Universal Running Details

In February 2020, Universal Orlando held it’s very first Running Universal Event. The Epic Character Race 5K and 10K featured a number of characters, including Minions, Shrek, Transformers, and Blue.

Running Universal Statement

Running Universal has given the official cancellation statement here:

The health and safety of our team members and guests is always our top priority. Out of an abundance of caution in light of current guidance from public health authorities, the Running Universal event featuring DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls planned for April 26, 2020 at Universal Studios Hollywood has been cancelled.

Running Universal also states that a full refund for your registration and unused Park tickets and passes will be automatically issued to your original payment method. Please allow approximately 10 business days after processing for the refund to reflect in your account.
