Unfortunately, Disney World and Disneyland have announced that their April 1 reopenings have been delayed indefinitely. Read on for full details.
Disney World and Disneyland made the decision to close their parks and reopen on March 31. Disney Resorts and Disney Springs followed behind and closed on March 20.
We have been anxiously awaiting news whether or not the April 1 reopening would stick or if it would be pushed back.
I hate to be the one to bring bad news, but it has been pushed back.
Disney World and Disneyland Parks and Resorts will be closed indefinitely.
What if you have a trip coming up?
If you have a Disney World or Disneyland vacation booked, please know Disney is doing all they can to reschedule and refund vacations. However, since there is no reopening date it will be hard for guests to know when to reschedule.
We shared that they are waiving fees associated with changing trips. We also outlined how Disney is handling tickets, room reservations, and prepaid dining reservations during this time.
If you are an Annual Passholder, Disney has stated Annual Passholders will receive an extension on their passes to reflect the number of days closed.
If you plan to reschedule, take a look at Kenny’s FREE crowd calendars to help you pick a new time to visit. He is also offering a great deal on Character Locator subscriptions/renewals for all of his readers and subscribers. You can read his special message HERE.
KennythePirate and the writing crew are keeping a close eye on the closing of Disney parks around the world. We will be sure to update you with any new information that becomes available.
