Disney’s Aulani Closed Until Further Notice

Disney’s Aulani resort in Hawaii has announced that its expected reopening date of April 1st has been delayed until further notice. Read on for the full details.

Just yesterday, it was announced that Disney World and Disneyland were to remain temporarily closed until further notice. Today, it looks as though Disney’s Aulani resort will also be closed indefinitely as well.

Official Statement

Aulani’s website states, “The safety and well-being of our Members, Guests and employees remain The Walt Disney Company’s top priority. As a result of this unprecedented pandemic and in line with direction provided by health experts and government officials Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, will remain closed until further notice.”

What if you have an upcoming trip?

If you have an upcoming trip scheduled, Disney is doing everything they can for guests to reschedule. Guests who have reservations booked through the Aulani Resort website or The Walt Disney Travel Company should call (866) 443-4763 to reschedule their reservations for a future date.

Disney has provided guests additional flexibility and from their website. They stated they are “also waiving all Disney-imposed change and cancellation fees up to the date of check-in for these impacted reservations, as well as those rescheduled reservations with arrivals through June 30, 2020.”

Disney Vacation Club Members

If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, they will automatically cancel any reservation scheduled for arrival during any closure. You do not need to cancel the reservation online or contact Member Services.

Due to the circumstances, Disney Vacation will also return Points to the current Use Year without placing them into holding. Temporary updates to their cancellation were announced earlier today.
