Howdy partners! Ready for a ride on Big Thunder Railroad Mountain? If any of you folks are wearin’ hats and glasses best remove ’em, ’cause this here’s the wildest ride in the wilderness!
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is an iconic roller coaster at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Since there are versions of this ride in Disney Parks all over the world, you have lots of opportunities to experience this wild ride!
My family absolutely loves Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. To us, no trip to Magic Kingdom is complete without experiencing it at least once, but more likely several times!
We all agree that as much as we love this roller coaster during the day, the experience is even better at night! A family tradition of ours is to race over to Big Thunder after viewing Happily Ever After.
This attraction starts off in an abandoned mine shaft and has you board a train for an adventurous ride! You’ll travel through the town of Tumbleweed, dodging explosions and boulders, for the wildest ride in the wilderness!
Today, Disney shared a virtual ride on Big Thunder Railroad Mountain. For your safety, keep your hands, feet, arms, and legs inside the train, and be sure to watch your kids!
Just hearing that music brings me right back to this happy place!
Did you notice the interesting trivia Disney shared as well? I learned a few new things while watching this! Did you know this attraction is inspired by Monument Valley in Arizona?
I also had never noticed the trains each have names before! These are such fun names!
- U.B. Bold
- U.R. Daring
- U.R. Courageous
- I.M. Brave
- I.B. Hearty
- I.M. Fearless
I will be sure to look out for what trains I get during my next ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Until then, enjoy this virtual ride on the wildest ride in the wilderness!
