Live entertainment is returning to the United Kingdom at Epcot again! Read on for the details.
Many guests were sad to see entertainment cuts happen in Epcot prior to the parks closing, and sadly they were announced as being permanent. Guests returning to Epcot once it reopens will not be seeing the Matsuriza drummers in Japan or The British Revolution Band.
So, with the limited park hours, crowd capacity in the parks, menu items removed, favorite restaurants and attractions not reopening, what will there be left to see?
Kenny just updated Character Locator with all of the recent changes that have been announced. The parks will definitely look different when they reopen and it is definitely a different Disney than what we are used to seeing.
However, not all of the announcements need to be disappointing. As Disney has assured guests, the magic will still be there and we will be able to enjoy the parks.
New Entertainment
We are happy to see that according to Expedition Theme Park, a bit of live entertainment is resuming at Epcot when they reopen on July 15th. Carol from the Rose and Crown will be returning! However, she is going to have a new home.
If you have enjoyed a drink at Rose and Crown or spent some time in the pub, you might recognize Carol since she would play the piano entertaining guests there. We are happy to see her returning to work! Carol will be entertaining guests in the UK Pavilion gazebo.
Carol tweeted the following message today, “I am feeling incredibly fortunate that Disney has informed me I will be returning to perform at EPCOT the week of July 15. However, …..I will not be performing in the Rose & Crown Pub… Instead….. I will be playing the piano and singing songs under the beautiful Gazebo in the English Gardens in the UK Pavilion at EPCOT.”

So, if you will be visiting Epcot, make sure you stop by the UK Pavilion and see Carol perform! We are happy to see entertainers returning to Epcot and look forward to their performances.
Have you seen Carol perform before when she was at Rose and Crown? Will you be visiting Epcot and seeing Carol in her new place? Tell us about it in the comments below or on our Facebook page.
