Just In: This Walt Disney World Theme Park Restaurant Will Offer a Modified Character Experience

As Walt Disney World makes changes in their operating procedures, one of the more upsetting changes is that Character Dining will no longer be offered. Disney originally stated that only one restaurant, Topolino’s Terrace, would offer a modified character experience. However, today we learned that there will be another restaurant with a modified character experience, and it will be in a theme park!

Many Guests of Walt Disney World love to experience Character Dining and were dismayed to hear those experiences would be temporarily suspended.

We did learn that one Walt Disney World restaurant would offer a “modified character experience.” Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera, located at Disney’s Riviera Resort will offer a character meal where the characters parade around the restaurant, but only stop briefly for photos at a distance.

Guests do receive a card at the end of their meal with signatures from Mickey and Pals!

Today, news from Disney was shared that there will be another restaurant with a modified character experience.

Garden Grill, located in Epcot, will offer modified Character Dining, beginning on July 15 when Epcot reopens.

Garden Grill is one of our favorite spots for Character Dining! Located in the Land Pavilion, this revolving restaurant features food grown using Disney’s innovative farming techniques right in Living With the Land’s greenhouses!

Character Dining in this location has typically featured Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale. Dining reservations will be opening soon, so mark your calendars and get ready to reserve this experience!
