Just in case you did not know already, Cinderella Castle has received a face lift and she is ready to show herself off when the parks reopen to guests.
What is the first iconic landmark that one looks forward to seeing when you enter Main Street? Cinderella Castle, of course! She is the main attraction!
As we remember, our beautiful landmark was a different color before the Magic Kingdom closed back in March due to Covid-19. Looks like Cinderella’s Fairy Godmothers had quite the adventure while we were away!
Disney Parks Blog today dedicates itself to showing off the process of the “royal makeover” and announces that the work is nearly complete.
“The treasured icon at the heart of Walt Disney World Resort is being made over with bold, shimmering and regal enhancements befitting The Most Magical Place on Earth.”
We were also told that “Walt Disney Imagineering helped select the new royal color scheme to give Cinderella Castle its glistening new look. Special elements, such as a sapphire dusting on the blue rooftops and gold trim, were added to make the iconic spires sparkle in the sun.”
Over the last couple of weeks, we have received sneak peeks from various people posting pictures of Cinderella Castle from afar such as from visiting Disney’s Contemporary Resort on various social media platforms.
Yesterday, during the first day of Cast Member previews, we were finally able to see a better view from inside the very park itself! Many of the posts on social media that I viewed mentioned that the shimmer and the beauty and its colors is even that more beautiful in person!
I surely can not wait to visit this iconic castle and see it for myself!
Cast Member previews at the theme parks are well underway with Annual Passholder previews beginning tomorrow. It’s all becoming so real!
Only three more days until both Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom reopen up the gates! What a magical day that will be with a beautifully made over Cinderella Castle to greet us as we walk in back to our happy place!
What are your thoughts on the royal makeover on Cinderella Castle? Are you excited to visit it in person? Tell us about it in the comments below or on our Facebook page.
