Disney’s Caribbean Beach is the next Disney Resort to welcome Guests, and we’ve got the scoop of what you can expect upon reopening!
Disney’s Caribbean Beach
Disney’s Caribbean Beach is a large and spread out moderate resort located on Walt Disney World property.
It is near the all-new Riviera Resort (check out this photo tour) and has the convenience of being on the Skyliner route! It is actually the “hub” for all Skyliner transportation, meaning all routes are connected to the Caribbean Beach station one way or another.
Check out these 5 great reasons why you should stay at Caribbean Beach!
What will change at Caribbean Beach upon reopening?
Like the other resorts on Walt Disney World property, things will be much different than they were before.
First, not all dining options will be open at Caribbean Beach.
Banana Cabana and Centertown Market will be your two options for eating at the resort. Banana Cabana is the bar near the pool area and Centertown Market is the quick-service/grab-n-go place at the resort.
Spyglass Grill and the popular Sebastian’s Bistro will NOT be open during this initial phase.
The Calypso Trading Post will be open during your stay, but no other merchandise locations will be available.
What about resort activities?
According to the Disney World website, the pool, poolside activities, and movies under the stars will all continue to take place once Caribbean Beach reopens!
Fishing, bike rentals, and the Pirate Adventure Cruise will unfortunately not be available.
Bus transportation is available to transport Guests from Caribbean Beach to the Disney Springs area, Magic Kingdom park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park.
Disney Skyliner gondolas are also available to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot! I got the opportunity to ride them for the first time this past week, and I really enjoyed them!
