Disney Summertime Holiday Celebration at Home

Disney Summertime Holiday Celebration at Home

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” That’s right it is time to dust off those Christmas decorations, break out the Disney Christmas pajamas, and get ready to celebrate Christmas in July with your favorite Disney pals. We have so many great ways for you and your family to enjoy the magic of the Disney Parks right in your home this weekend from crafts, recipes, and even a few surprises.

Crafts

“Though the weather outside is frightful,” frightfully hot that is, but you can keep cool indoors by making these adorable Snow Mice. You very well may already have the supplies needed to make this adorable duo. Supplies needed:

  • Store bought pom-pom makers
  • Colored felt
  • Scissors
  • 3 skeins of 4 or 5 weight white yarn
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Buttons
  • Floral Wire
  • Wire cutters
  • 3/16 dowel rod

You can find Step by Step directions on making these adorable Snow Mice HERE.

How about trying your hand at making your very own Mickey Mouse shaped snowflakes. These are super easy to make and a fun craft that your whole family can enjoy.

The supplies are simply white paper, a pencil, and scissors. Find the instructions HERE.

There also great ways to make your own felt ornaments, craft a marbled glass Mickey Mouse ornament, create a Disney inspired centerpiece, and make a Mickey pom-pom holiday wreath.

Movie Time

Break out your favorite Disney holiday pajamas and settle in for a long summer days nap with the great Christmas movie favorites:

  • Noelle
  • The Santa Clause Trilogy (my family likes to have a movie marathon with these movies on Christmas Eve)
  • Olaf’s Frozen Adventure
  • Snowglobe
  • Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Decorating Disney- Holiday Magic
  • The Muppet Christmas Carol
  • Babes in Toyland

While in your Disney pajamas you can relax with this cozy fireplace yule log.

Or enjoy the peaceful scene of snow falling on Main Street at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom while enjoying a delicious cup of White Hot Chocolate with cinnamon marshmallows.

Bake Sweet Treats

One of our favorite places to visit during the holidays is the gingerbread house at Disneys Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Learn how to make these great Disney gingerbread cookies HERE.

You can also learn how to make a Mini-Gingerbread Bundt Cake with orange-vanilla sauce, sugar cookies, and plant-based Cookie Fries from the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.

Add Holiday Wallpaper

Bring the holiday fun to all of your devices as well. Check out the great Disney wallpaper HERE and search for “Holidays” to find great scenes that are sure to bring a bit of holiday cheer to your day.

Spread Holiday Cheer

Check out the holiday tunes on Radio Disney and also on Sorcerer Radio. You can also enjoy these Disney Holiday Song Remixes.

“The best way to spread holiday cheer is to sing it loud for all to hear.”
