Disneyland Extends Reservation Cancellations

“The Happiest Place on Earth” has shared further cancellations for Guests. Find out if your upcoming vacation may be affected and also learn of the updated cancellation and modification policies that are in effect.

Disneyland Celebrates 65th Anniversary

In June we received wonderful news on a daily basis as Disney Parks around the globe were looking to reopen. We were especially excited to share that Disneyland proposed to reopen on July 17th for their 65th anniversary. We rejoiced in what a truly magical reopening that would be. Many Guests made plans to be at the Park for this memorable event. However, that proposed reopening was delayed pending state approval to reopen.

The proposed reopening date for Disneyland on July 17, 2020 was delayed without a new reopening date given.

Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney reopened on July 9th after being closed for 4 months due to COVID-19. This shopping district remains opened while the Disneyland Parks and Resorts remain closed. You can find a review of the current merchandise at the Word of Disney store in Annaheim HERE.

In July, we shared that Guests with Disneyland Hotel reservations through August 8th received email that their reservations would be either cancelled or they could be modified for a later date. Unfortunately the bad news now extends past the first part of August. Guests are now receiving emails that Hotels of the Disneyland Resort reservations through August 29th will now be affected.

Guests with Disneyland Hotel reservations through August 29th received an email apologizing for the inconvenience that this closure causes. The Disney Company shares, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park remain closed and will reopen at a later date, pending state and local government approvals. The Hotels of the Disneyland Resort are also closed and will reopen at a later date.”

Guests may choose to cancel this reservation or they may modify it for a later date. All Disney-imposed changes and cancellation fees will be waived up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through August 29, 2020. Even if you are unable to cancel your reservation before your check-in date, Disney will waive all fees for reservations made through August 29, 2020.
