Universal Orlando Resort has temporarily suspended hotel operations at two of its resort hotels. Read on for details.
Universal Orlando Resort made the announcement that two of their resort hotels will close temporarily on August 21.
Guests booked at either Aventura or Lowes Sapphire Falls resorts will be given the option to change to a different resort or to modify their reservation to a later date.
Available Options
Guests booked at Aventura, a value resort, will be moved to Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach resort and offered a $50 dining credit, for stays of 2 or more nights.
Guests currently booked at Lowes Sapphire Falls resort, a moderate resort, can select to move to either available premium resort: Hard Rock Hotel or Lowe’s Royal Pacific.
Universal’s statement said they continue to evaluate their offerings during this time while they manage current travel conditions. They will continue to operate Cabana Bay beach resort, Universal’s Endless Summer-Surfside Inn and Suites, Hard Rock Hotel and Lowes Royal Pacific resorts.
Cabana Bay & Hard Rock Hotel
Personally, I really enjoyed Cabana Bay resort and love the private entrance to Universal’s Volcano Bay at this resort.
Plus, when contrasted to Disney’s moderate resorts, Cabana Bay has a lot more activities and restaurants to offer!
Did you know that when you stay at the Hard Rock Hotel, they can turn your room key into a guitar pick when you check out? See the bottom right corner of this image from Passholder Appreciation Days:
Universal treats their passholders right! They announced earlier this week that Premium Annual Passholders will get 2 extra hours of express pass time each day AND can bring a friend with a free park to park ticket per passholder!
