runDisney just announced that the 2021 Princess Half Marathon Weekend would now be virtual. If you haven’t registered yet, you will soon be able to. More information has been released about race themes and medals! Read on for more information!
Virtual Princess Half Marathon Weekend
Today, runDisney announced that the 2021 Princess Half Marathon Weekend would be moved to a virtual event. Along with the Princess Half Marathon Weekend they also moved the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend to a virtual event. Check out all the details HERE!

With the races moving to virtual, runners are now able to see race themes along with different pricing options! Check them all out below!
PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE 6.6% PLATFORM SERVICE FEE
Kids Dashes
The Kids Dashes were not open during the original registration period. When registration opens, parents will now be able to sign up their little ones for a virtual race. Here are the dashes below:
- 100-Meter Dash – 1-4 years old
- 200-Meter Dash – 5-8 years old
- Diaper Dash for Crawlers – 12 months and under
Each participant in the Dashes will recieve:
- Commemorative Finisher Medallion
- Short Sleeve Cotton Event Shirt
- Personalized Digital Bib and Finisher Certificate
- Digital Race Tool Kit featuring printable Start & Finish line
- Digital Goodie Bag
This virtual race is set for Saturday, February 20, 2021. Parents can sign their children up for this race for $20 for each Dash distance.
Kids One Mile Run
Just like the Kids Dashes, the Kids One Mile run was not open during initial registration. This will be available when virtual registration opens. This race will cost $30.
On Saturday, February 20, 2021 children between the ages of 4 to 13 years old can participate in the Kids One Mile Run. Each runner will receive:
- Commemorative Finisher Medallion
- Short Sleeve Cotton Event Shirt
- Personalized Digital Bib and Finisher Certificate
- Digital Race Tool Kit featuring printable Start & Finish line

Princess 5k
The Virtual Princess 5K will run on Friday, February 19, 2021. There are two options for runners:

Fairy Tale Challenge
Can’t decide which race to do? Try the Fairy Tale Challenge! Runners will race both Saturday, February 20 and Sunday, February 21, 2021. Runners will receive 3 Medals Total: 2 Finisher Medals, plus 1 Challenge Medal.
Runners will need to register for the Virtual Fairy Tale Challenge, which includes both races. This is how you will receive all three medals. Runners can choose from:

The Medals
runDisney always has some pretty amazing medals! Unfortunately, runners won’t be wearing them around Disney World this February, but they will still help you show off your accomplishment!
Registration
Already registered participants will have the option to change their races to virtual. If you have not registered yet and would like to additional registration opportunities will open on a limited basis on Thursday, September 24 at 10 a.m. Eastern time.
