Attention, Annual Passholders! Disney may be asking for additional information regarding your pass extension!
Annual Passholders
Walt Disney World was closed for almost 4 months, which is a pretty large chunk of time for a 12-month pass. As a result, Disney offered Passholders the option to extend or cancel.
I personally took the extension. My pass activated in late February so I could have received almost the entire amount I paid back. However, I knew I would still visit the parks after reopening so it made sense to take the extension.
It’s not been all Mickey Bars and Dole Whips, though. Annual Passholders were dismayed to learn they would be permitted to reserve Park Pass reservations for the length of stay on Resort reservations. However, they would only be permitted to reserve three Park Pass reservations at a time for non-resort stays.
Additionally, Disney suspended the option to hop between parks.
In response to this, Disney World is beginning to add one free month to all Annual Pass expiration dates. Disney has automatically extended Annual Pass expiration dates as a way of thanking their loyal Passholders.
I personally have not received this extension yet, but I know these things take time.
Not only that, but water parks are not open either so eligible Annual Passholders will also receive a portion of their pass refunded to take this into account.
Disney Needs You to Confirm Your Pass Extension
Annual Passholders on the monthly payment plan are starting to receive emails from Disney World. They are asked to confirm their extension and schedule of payments.
If you are on the monthly payment plan, this confirmation is needed before November 1, 2020.
Follow the steps below to confirm:
Link your Annual Pass to your My Disney Experience account if you haven’t already done so.
In the email, click to consent to the use of an electronic signature.
Finally, follow the instructions to finalize your selection.
If you do not confirm the extension by November 1, the extension will be canceled.
