As Walt Disney World reopened in July, Guests found many of their favorite dining and retail locations still closed. We have great new hours of operation for 3 dining locations. Check to see if your favorite made the list.
Shortened Park Hours
As the Walt Disney World Parks reopened to Guests in July, many Guests were surprised with the many things were missing from the Disney experience, the Disney Parks were still very magical.
Guests felt that the trade off for what was missing was justified with lower wait times and lower park capacity.
After the initial phased reopening in July, Guests were surprised that in August Park hours would be shortened more rather than being extended. Recently, we have been excited to discover that Guests will be able to spend even more time in the Walt Disney Parks.
Dining Reopened
We have been excited to see that many of our favorite dining locations have been reopening across the Walt Disney World Parks. Cinderella’s Royal Table, Hollywood and Vine in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and even Gaston’s Tavern in the Magic Kingdom have all reopened to Guests.
The gradual addition of more dining options is great way to allow even more Guests to enjoy their favorite foods found in the Disney Parks.
Recently we shared that the Lunching Pad located in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom would be reopening. At that time, they were operating only the weekends. As of today, the Lunching Pad is now open throughout the week as well.
Lunching Pad is now open throughout the week and on the weekends.
EPCOT Dining
One of the favorite activities of Guests visiting EPCOT is to enjoy food as they travel around the World Showcase. Due to limited park capacity, many of the dining locations around EPCOT were only available on the weekends. Check out the 2 newest dining locations in EPCOT that will remain open throughout the week.
Many of the dining locations in EPCOT were only available on the weekends due to limited park Capacity.
As EPCOT reopened, Sommerfest located in the Germany pavilion reopened to Guests. Unfortunately, this location only reopened on the weekends, but this week Sommerfest is now open throughout the week as well.
At this time, Sommerfest offers a limited menu. Menu items include the Jumbo Pretzel and a few beer and wine options. We are hoping that some of the other great menu options may be returning soon.
Also joining list is the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe. This yummy dining location is found in the Norway pavilion. One of the most noted snack options from this location is the School Bread.
When the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe was closed throughout the week, Guests could purchase the School Bread at a nearby food cart. Now that the Kringla Bakeri og Kafe is reopening fully, the food cart will no longer offer the School Bread.
Both Sommerfest in norway and kringla bakeri og cafe will remain opened throughout the week and on the weekends.
We are hoping that the addition of more dining locations throughout the week may also extend to the Food Booths for this year’s International Festival of the Holidays that will begin soon in EPCOT. You can find a Complete Menu Guide for this festival HERE.
What do you think about these EPCOT dining locations opening throughout the week? Do you think that this may affect operating hours for many of the International Festival of the Holidays food booths? Which dining location do you hope reopens next? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
