December 16, 2020 marks the one year anniversary of Disney’s Riviera Resort! Read on to see how Disney Vacation Club has decided to celebrate.
Disney’s Riviera Resort
Disney’s Riviera Resort is the newest resort on property and it is just stunning. I have been lucky enough to visit more than once, and the artwork combined with the beauty of the resort is just one of the reasons it is Disney’s most luxurious hotel.
Not only is the resort beautiful, it also has one of the most popular character meals available! The best part is you can visit this character meal now! It’s one of the few character meals that is being offered since the reopening.
Topolino’s Terrace
Topolino’s Terrace is one of the most sought after dining reservations. You can take a look at my review of the meal here.
If you are wondering how the meal compares since the reopening of the resorts, take a look at Susan’s review here.
I can say that both experiences were amazing and I cannot wait to visit again!
New Year’s Eve
If you happen to be visiting Walt Disney World during New Year’s Eve, and are looking for a place to celebrate, you are in luck! A few of the dining options at the Riviera will be open until 1 AM.
Primo Piatto, Le Petit Cafe and Bar Riva will all be available for guests. These are great locations to try if you are looking for a quick bite to eat and do some celebrating as well.
Happy Anniversary!
According to Disney Parks Blog, “to help mark the resort’s first anniversary, Disney Vacation Club commissioned The LEGO Group to create a spectacular model of Disney’s Riviera Resort, created in consultation with Disney Imagineers who helped bring the resort to life.”
Take a look at the finished product! Wow!
this took lego master model builders more than 300 hours to design and assemble, it weighs 100 pounds and contains more than 45,000 lego elements!
I just love the detail of this model. It even has recreations of the Disney Skyliner transportation system, the resort’s pool and waterslide, and the signature “RR” monogram.
If you look real close, it even has a miniature Mickey and Minnie outside of Topolino’s Terrace! As you can see in the picture and video, I think they give it a stamp of approval!
If you want to see the model for yourself, it is expected to arrive early next year at the Disney Vacation Club kiosk at Disney Springs Marketplace. It will be on display through the remainder of 2021.
