Even more Annual Passes are now being sold to select Guests! This gives us hope that Disney will resume new purchases for everyone.
Annual Passes
With the pandemic really messing things up (wow, that’s the understatement of the century), Disney had to rethink Annual Passes. The parks were closed for 4 months, and Disney had to figure out how to compensate passholders for that time. Not to mention water parks and park hopping were not part of the initial reopening phase. They also allowed people to cancel their annual pass because different people have different comfort levels with traveling.
2021 has just begun and Disney cannot see into the future so there is no telling what this year and beyond will look like pandemic-wise.
New Purchases
Fortunately, we have begun to see signs of hope that one day Disney will resume new Annual Pass purchases for all Guests.
Currently, Guests who have just turned 3 years old can be issued an Annual Pass as long as everyone else in the immediate family has one.
Guests who canceled their Annual Pass during the closure are also eligible to re-purchase a new one. This is done on a case-by-case basis. You will need to get in touch with Guest Relations or a Cast Member over the phone.

UK Residents
UK residents are now another group of people who are able to purchase new Annual Passes. You can see in the screenshot above (taken this morning, March 15) that the Platinum Pass can be purchased for $1,195.
UK residents can now purchase new annual passes.
Included is:
- Admission for a year to all 4 theme parks (no blockout dates)
- Visit more than one theme park on the same day
- Includes Disney PhotoPass downloads
- Up to 20% off on select dining
- Up to 20% off select merchandise in store
- Standard theme park parking
Although international travel is still restrictive, we hope this means Disney will soon allow the ability for anyone to purchase a new Annual Pass.

Outside of Americans the UK is Disney's biggest market. But Disney have lost huge revenues because the department of homeland security STILL requires non residents and non usa citizens to get vaccinated in order to be admitted into the country. But if you're seeking asylum or an illegal immigrant it's open season at the border.

This seems weird. Disney no longer sells platinum passes to anyone. The only top level pass available for DW is the IncrediPass, and the price is $1,299. (AP members who are renewing their passes do get a discount.) Way to go Disney! Let's alienate your American fans even more than you already have.

As far as UK guests much like the US website and app options if it even allows you to put the pass in your cart, checking out will not be an option.
