Modified Hours for an EPCOT Restaurant are Coming Soon

As Spring Break and Easter crowds leave Disney World, a restaurant in EPCOT will see reduced hours as a result. Will this affect your upcoming plans?

Modified Hours

Located in the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT, La Hacienda de San Angel is an authentic eatery featuring tacos, enchiladas, and more. The operating hours are pretty limited as is. Right now, they are only serving dinner. Lunch is not available at La Hacienda de San Angel.

Beginning May 17, La Hacienda de San Angel will close on Mondays and Tuesdays.

This Mexican restaurant located in EPCOT will remain closed these two days until at least mid June. The calendar does not go past June 14 at time of publication so time will only tell how long this will continue.

Disney previously closed this restaurant on Mondays and Tuesdays shortly after the holiday crowds left in early January.

Of course, Disney could reopen La Hacienda de San Angel based on crowd levels and other factors.

Why the closure?

Based on park pass availability earlier this week, May and June are shaping up to a busy time. Many days and parks were sold out for theme park ticket guests and resort hotel guests. However, Disney either increased capacity or shifted availability among categories, because yesterday the availability calendar opened up.

If the parks are going to be as busy as we think they are, why are they closing La Hacienda de San Angel? While we don’t have a definitive answer on that, it seems this restaurant is usually one that closes during less busy times.

Did you have dinner plans for either a Monday or Tuesday at La Hacienda de San Angel that is now canceled? Where will you plan to eat now? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook. And be sure to follow along as we continue to share Disney news and planning tips.
