Disney Snacks
Walt Disney World always raises the bar in Guest satisfaction. This is definitely true for Disney food. There is no limit to the great snacks and food options that can be found all throughout the Walt Disney World property.
Check out Jamie’s great snack tour of Walt Disney World HERE. We are also so excited to see so many food locations reopening across the Walt Disney World property.
Chef Mickey’s (dinner) and Cape May Cafe are returning, and Tusker House will reopen at some point this summer. Disney is also bringing back two snack locations at Animal Kingdom. Check out these locations HERE.
Closing Snack Location
Ample Hills began as a Brooklyn-based ice cream shop. In 2016, Ample Hills opened “the most magical scoop shop” at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn. This location decided to go big by offering 16 rotating flavors for Disney fans to enjoy.
Ample Hill was so popular that they planned to open a second location at Disney Springs. Construction began at the Disney Springs location and the new Ample Hills Creamery was to replace the former Amazing Pictures store. This location planned to be located on the West Side of Disney Springs.
Unfortunately, construction halted at the Disney Springs location and the Boardwalk location never reopened. This was sad news for ice cream fans, but get ready to “All Scream for Ice Cream.”
Boardwalk Ice Cream
Rumors began to surface when construction could be seen on Disney’s Boardwalk at the previous Ample Hills Creamer location. Many wondered what may open in this location.
Today, Guests visiting Disney’s Boardwalk were able to see a newly hung sign announcing that Boardwalk Ice Cream will be filling this once vacant location.
Boardwalk Ice Cream will be opening soon in the former Ample Hills Creamery location.
Even better is the fact that the Disney World website shows the shop has opened today! The new Ice Cream shop will be open from 3 pm to 10 pm on weekdays and 12 pm to 10 pm on weekends.
What will they offer?
The Walt Disney World website shares, “Bring your sweet tooth to this “cool” ice cream parlor located at Disney’s BoardWalk, featuring ice cream and sundaes to go.

Disney’s Boardwalk is such a fun environment, and we are so excited to see even more dining locations reopening here.
