“It is time” to enjoy Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s favorite show. Check out the new showtimes for this family favorite show.
Return of Festival of the Lion King
The fan-favorite show, Festival of the Lion King, has returned to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Originally this show was to return mid-May, but Guests were delighted to enjoy this show on May 8, 2021.
“A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King” has changed a bit from the “Festival of the Lion King.” You can see all of the ways that this show has been modified HERE.
Increasing Capacity
One of the main concerns of Disney Guests was the limited seating available at each of the 6 show times. A maximum of four people in the same party can sit together in the theater and then a divider blocks the next group.
Originally, the theater planned to skip rows to ensure even more physical distancing between groups. Because of this, the theater is not filled to maximum capacity.
On May 14, 2021, we announced that changes were made to the social distancing guidelines for this show. This allowed the theatre to be filled to be filled to 50% capacity.
Social distancing changes were made and the theatre for “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King” is now filled to 50% capacity.
