Disney is quickly making changes to their health and safety guidelines. Find out what you can expect during your next stay at your Disney Resort.
Changes to Disney Resorts
Previously, Walt Disney Resort pools were monitored for capacity. Once the capacity had been met for a certain pool, a sign was placed alerting Guests that the pool was now closed.
Social distancing has now been adjusted at the Disney Resorts as well. In May, Guests staying at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club were excited to see that physical distancing had been adapted at the Stormalong Bay Pool. Additional beach chairs were added to allow for additional Guests and to reduce the social distancing between Guests.
There has also been a change to the room service option for all Disney Resorts with the exception of one. Find out which Disney Resort still offers room service HERE.
Heath and Safety Changes
In the Disney Parks we have seen many changes to the physical distancing guidelines. Physical distancing markers were completely removed from the extended queue of 2 popular Disney attractions. Check this out HERE. We even saw increased capacity for Guests using the Disney Skyliner.
We even saw changes aboard the monorail and complete removal of social distancing markers on one form of Disney transportation this week.
Recently, Guests visiting the Magic Kingdom were delighted to enjoy the Dumbo play area once again! Just this week, EPCOT has reopened an outdoor splash pad and also an indoor play area. Check out these new reopenings HERE.
Arcades Now Reopened
One amenity that many families enjoy using while staying at a Disney Resort are the arcades. This is a great way to relax after a fun, magical day in the Disney Parks. This would be especially helpful while the Disney Parks still close fairly early.
Last night we shared that arcade games were turned on and being tested at this Resort. At the time of that posting, Disney had not made an announcement when arcades may reopen.
Today, Guests staying at the Pop Century Resort are now able to enjoy the Fast Forward Arcade. Current operating hours for the Fast Forward Arcade are 8:00am until 11:00pm.
Guests are reminded that all games in the arcade are “singe player or one travel part per game please”.
There have also been reports from our Pirate Crew that the arcades have also reopened in Kidani’s Village at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas.
Guests staying at the Pop Century Resort are now able to enjoy the Fast Forward Arcade. Current operating hours for the Fast Forward Arcade are 8:00am until 11:00pm.
