Summer crowds continue to rise at Walt Disney World. Check out the new extended hours that Guests can now enjoy at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Increased Capacity
In May 2021, Bob Chapek, Disney CEO, shared that Walt Disney World has already started increasing Park Capacity. This increase of Park Guests has caused changes in physical distancing throughout the Parks.
Last week, Disney World significantly increased Park Passes for the summer. This is great news for Disney fans wanting to visit Walt Disney World. With the rise in Guests, Walt Disney World is now adjusting physical distancing guidelines and even making changes to Disney transportation.
Extended Hours
Each week Walt Disney World releases new Park hours. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen a huge increase in additional time added to the Disney Parks. We are still hoping that additional Park hours may be added.
Walt Disney World has just increased hours at Disney Springs for the summer. This is great news for Guests looking for something to do after Park closures or even on their non-Park day. The new operating hours will be:
- Sunday through Thursday: 10:00am through 11:00pm (previously closing at 10:00pm)
- Friday and Saturday: 10:00am through 11:30 (previously closing at 10:00pm)
These new operating hours will begin on June 27th and can be enjoyed by Guests through the end of August.
We also shared that a newly reopened Resort amenity is now available for Guests to enjoy after Park hours. Check this out HERE.
