My Disney Experience receives a new update

My Disney Experience has received a fresh new update! Take a look at the fun new features.

My Disney Experience

If you have visited Walt Disney World, My Disney Experience should be nothing new. It’s pretty much your portal to everything happening during your trip.

From the time you check-in to your resort to the time of your actual trip, there is no doubt that you have had to use it at some point.

Here are just some of the features that are available in My Disney Experience right now:

  • resort check-in
  • park hours and showtimes
  • your plans under “My Plans”
  • Disney PhotoPass
  • Virtual Queue
  • Play Disney Parks
  • Disney MagicMobile
  • Mobile Food Orders
  • Shop Merchandise
  • Check Dining Availability
  • Make Park Reservations
  • wait times

As Walt Disney World has shifted their focus on technology, it is pretty obvious My Disney Experience is here to stay.

A New Update

This morning, users of My Disney Experience were greeted with a fresh new look. What is new about this update? Take a look at what Version 6.19 features:

“With this release, you can view and update your profile image quicker than before! Plus, we added a bit more excitement to your home screen with new header images. We also fixed bugs and enhanced overall app performance.”

I don’t know about you, but little updates, even if they are minor like this excite me. I love the balloons and the look of the home screen now! If you are an Annual Passholder, you will also notice that there is an indication of having an Annual Pass.

Sadly, I do not have an Annual Pass yet, but I am anxiously waiting for Disney to make them available to buy again. Come on Disney! What are you waiting for?

Users will also notice recent updates to policies in Your Guide to Updated Experiences. This is the best place to look for the most recent updates regarding visiting Walt Disney World.

Among the most recent updates are the face mask policy. It now says face coverings are required in many areas for Guests who are not fully vaccinated. Optional for fully vaccinated Guests except on transportation.

You will also notice the physical distancing policy has been completely removed.

Could this update be a sign of more to come?

While the app still features all of the same functions it has before, what could this mean for the future? With park capacity only increasing and more and more policies being relaxed, there is no question Walt Disney World is taking steps towards a more normal guest experience.

One thing that stands out the most that is still missing is FastPass. Hopefully, with this new update also comes an announcement regarding FastPass very soon! With fireworks making a return to the parks, there is no doubt that the parks will be busier. We NEED FastPass to return!

What do you think of the most recent update to My Disney Experience? Do you think it could be a sign of more announcements? Tell us about it in the comments below or on our Facebook page.

If you look at Boo Bash tickets you will see in upper corner, the words "fastpass+", maybe an indication of what is to come. Let's hope,
