As Disney World gears up for all of the 50th Anniversary Celebrations, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be receiving updates. Check out the brand new show!
50th Celebration Dates
The 50th anniversary begins October 1, 2021 and last for 18 months! The celebration will include the new entertainment and attractions, as well as transformations in all four Theme Parks!
New Entertainment
Disney just announced new fireworks shows premiering at Disney’s Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on October 1, 2021! We’re so excited about this and all of the upcoming celebration festivities!

Animal Kingdom Icon Makeover
The iconic Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom will undergo a magnificent transformation as it transforms into a Beacon of Light. Glittering fireflies will light up the tree, along with beautiful colors and projections.

New Entertainment
Check out the artist rendering of “Disney KiteTails.” Beginning October 1, this show comes alive several times daily at the Discovery River Amphitheaters Performers will fly windcatchers and kites of all shapes and sizes, while out on the water elaborate three-dimensional kites – some stretching to 30 feet long.
There’s also new daytime entertainment coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
These kites will feature Disney animal friends, including Simba, Zazu, Baloo and King Louie. These colorful creations will dance through the sky to the beat of favorite Disney songs in an uplifting, vibrant experience for the whole family.
