Disney just announced two new exciting fireworks shows for the 50th Anniversary Celebration! Check out details here.
When to Celebrate
Disney’s 50th Anniversary begins October 1, 2021! Disney Park Reservations have been wildly popular for this weekend. However, no worries if you can’t visit in October. Disney’s celebration will last for 18 months, ending in the spring of 2023.
Icon Makeovers
Disney has shared Disney World theme park icon makeovers in each Disney World theme park. First, Cinderella Castle will receive a makeover. Imagineers have been busy adding ribbons, jewels, and special drapery. See the most recent update HERE.
At Epcot, lights will shine across the reflective panels of Spaceship Earth. These lights will connect to each other, and remind us of stars in the night sky. Also, to see details and photos on all four theme park icon makeovers, read here.
Costume Makeovers
Mickey and Minnie will finally change out of their white birthday outfits! New costumes are coming for the 50th Anniversary celebration. Look for stunning “ear-idescent” fabrics of shimmering blues, golds, and purples.
Attraction Opening
First, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure announced an opening date in summer 2020. However, along with many Disney attractions and entertainment, this was delayed.
Now, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will officially open to park goers on October 1, 2021! Located in EPCOT’s France Pavilion, this attraction is based on Disney and Pixar’s Ratatouille. We’re so excited about this new attraction and expanded area of the France Pavilion.
New Fireworks Show
This morning on Good Morning America, Disney just announced a brand new fireworks show coming to Magic Kingdom!
This new fireworks show will be called “Disney Enchantment.”
