Skipping the lines at Disney Parks makes it so easy to shop for our favorite souvenirs! Check out details on the new location here.
Mobile Checkout
At the end last year, we shared a new feature on My Disney Experience and Disneyland app, Mobile Checkout for certain spots. The app states that the shop in store and check out on your mobile device is in a testing phase at Disney World and Disneyland.
How to use Mobile Checkout
At select stores, guests can scan items and check out using your mobile app! The steps are very similar to going to your local grocery store and using their app to pay. Once you’ve entered a store using mobile checkout, grab a designated mobile checkout shopping bag. Then, go to your Disneyland or My Disney Experience app. Select the “Shop in Store – Now Testing” by selecting the large + on the bottom of the screen.
From there, select your store. Then, scan items as you add them to your bag. Once you’re finished shopping, tap “check out” to pay on your phone. Lastly, show your QR code to a Cast Member at the designated area near the exit.
Discounts
As a Disney World Annual Passholder, I take advantage of every available discount. So I was curious to see if discounts would be applied using mobile check out. Thankfully, the 20% Annual Passholder was automatically added. Hopefully, the Disney Visa discount of 10% off purchases of $50 or more applies also.
Stores Using Mobile Checkout
Previously, only Mouse Gears at EPCOT and The World of Disney at Disney Springs was included in mobile checkout. This was a great place to start testing this new feature on the My Disney Experience App. Check out a fellow writers, Rebecca, experience using Mobile Checkout here. At Disneyland, this feature was only available at the World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District.
Stores Just added to Mobile Checkout
We’re encouraged that Disney is adding more locations to mobile checkout. Disneyland park goers can now enjoy this at the Emporium. And those going to Disneyland California Adventure Park can now take advantage of mobile checkout at Elias and Company.
Disneyland just added the Emporium, and Disneyland California Adventure Park added Elias and Company to the list of stores using mobile checkout.
What other stores would you like to see added to mobile checkout?
