Disney is sharing all the new details for the “Magic Key” Program, which is the replacement for the previous Annual Passholder Program at Disneyland. Will you become a Passholder?
Legacy Passholders
Currently, there are no Disneyland Passholders! Former Passholders were given a legacy status in order to continue to get merchandise discounts.
Disneyland guests tend to be more local, with up to half of Disneyland guests on a given day being local passholders prior to the pandemic shut down.
Yesterday, the company teased that an announcement for the new program would be coming today.
There will be 4 keys Guests can choose “to unlock the magic”: Dream Key, Believe Key, Enchant Key, and Imagine Key. Let’s take a look at what each key offers.
Dream Key – $1399
With a Dream Key pass will have no blackout dates and can have six theme park reservations at a time, booked 90 days in advance.
This is the only tier that includes parking, though there are blockout dates for parking. Dream Keyholders will also get 20% off merchandise and 15% off select dining.
Believe Key – $949
Guests with a Believe Key will also be able to make six reservations at a time. However, there will be some blockout dates.
Believe Keyholders get 50% off parking, 10% off merchandise, and 10% off select dining.
Enchant Key – $649
Enchant Key Guests can have up to four theme park reservations at a time. There will be more blockout dates than the above Believe Key. 10% off merchandise and 10% off select dining also applies.
Imagine Key – $399
Finally, the last tier is the Imagine Key. This includes two theme park reservations and the most blockout dates. Additionally, it includes a 10% merchandise discount and 10% select dining discount.
When can you sign up?
According to Disney, “Starting August 25, 2021 (no earlier than 10 a.m. PT), guests will be able to purchase their preferred Magic Key pass type. Their first opportunity to “unlock” a visit to Disneyland park or Disney California Adventure park with a theme park reservation will be that same day!”
