Hollywood Studios Restaurant Opens Soon with a New Limited Menu

As crowds increase, Disney continues opening more and more restaurants. Check out the details on which Hollywood Studio opens next and its menu offerings!

Location

As you enter Hollywood Studios, stroll down Hollywood Boulevard, until you see Gertie at Echo Lake. Once you spot her, walk toward the oversized ship docked here.

She’s excited that Dockside Diner is opening very soon!

New Menu

As with many other Disney dining locations, Dockside Diner is opening with a tiny menu. If you’re looking for a main course, you have 3 options: Shrimp Salad, Smoked Fish Dip or Chipotle Chicken Salad Roll. Of these choices, I (Susan) would try the Chipotle Chicken Salad Roll. Not sure about the Smoked Fish Dip. Although Disney’s website currently shows a picture of a chili cheese hot dog and nachos, neither of these are shown on the menu.

Also, children of all ages can order macaroni and cheese or a peanut butter and jelly Uncrustable. The only dessert shown is a seaside brownie.

I (Susan) may try a chocolate milkshake on my next visit. Note that chocolate and vanilla are the shakes available. There are a variety of other beverages, including alcohol here too.

Opening Date

Check out the screenshot of My Disney Experience above. It shows Dockside Dining availability on August 22! If any of the menu options interest you, it’s great to have a dining spot centrally located in the theme park.

Seating Area

Dockside Diner is a walk-up location at Hollywood Studio’s Echo Lake. Although there is no indoor seating, Disney offers a large number of picnic tables nearby. The wonderful thing about many of these is they’re covered by blue umbrellas! Shade is a valued commodity at Disney.

Other Restaurant Re-Openings

Also, try the recently reopened Kat Saka’s Kettle in Galaxies Edge if you’re on the other side of Hollywood Studios. Or, how about the world famous Woody’s totchos in Toy Story Land? If you’re like me, sometimes you just need to eat at whichever location is closest.
