Possible New construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Disney has not announced any big new projects inside Animal Kingdom in recent months.

New Permit

The permit states that general construction will take place in Dinoland, USA.

Specifically, the address listed is 610 Dinoland Drive. Here’s what Google maps has for that location:

Fans speculate that this may be related to Primeval Whirl, the crazy mouse style ride in Dinoland USA. Disney announced that the coaster would be permanently unavailable back in July 2020.

I bet you could hear local chiropractors weeping after the announcement.

Because the permit only states general construction, it is unclear whether it simply refers to the dismantling and destruction of Primeval Whirl. You can read the permit below.

The permit lists the contractor as “MLC Theming”. According to their Linkedin company profile, MLC Theming does creative, specialty construction in the Central Florida area.

They go on to list specialties in scenic painting and aging of structures, rock carving and fabricating facades. The company was founded in 1985.
