Originally set to open in 2020, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure’s timeline has seen some significant delays, particularly due to the closing of Walt Disney World in 2020.

October 1st marks the opening date for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and we cannot wait! Disney gives the following description for the attraction, “In this 4D ride experience, join Chef Remy on a daring culinary caper that will captivate all your senses as you zip, dash and scurry through the bustling kitchen, dining room and walls of Gusteau’s famous Paris restaurant. C’est magnifique!”

Walt Disney World announced that when Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opens on October 1st Guests will use a virtual queue system. This system is currently used for Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

While the use of this system gives guests a shorter wait time, this system has been met with much criticism. If you cannot get a boarding group, then you cannot ride and that leaves many guests disappointed.

Distribution Times

As mentioned in Donna’s guide, Walt Disney World had not yet announced the virtual queue times. We suspected it would follow a similar pattern as Rise of the Resistance and be distributed at 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Today, it has been confirmed! Walt Disney World’s website indicates the following:

Guests with a valid ticket or pass and theme park reservation who will start their day at EPCOT can access the virtual queue system via the My Disney Experience app and check for an available boarding group starting at 7:00 AM on the day of their park reservation. This can be done before you arrive at the theme park. You’ll need to have park admission linked to your Disney account and applicable theme park reservations. If you are unable to join the morning virtual queue opportunity, you may check for an available boarding group starting at 1:00 PM that day after you have entered the park.

Walt Disney World

If you would rather bypass this system completely, there is another option thanks to Walt Disney World’s new Disney Genie that will be rolling out sometime this coming fall.
