After an unplanned extended closure, this Epcot attraction has reopened.
Closed
While the majority of operations run smoothly at Disney World, there are times when things don’t always go as planned. Evacuations, malfunctions, and more can really impact the day-to-day runnings of the parks. Looking at you, PeopleMover.
Living with the Land has been closed for two weeks now. This slow 15 minute boat ride is located in The Land Pavilion and shows us how Disney is using innovative growing techniques and cross-breeding to help feed our planet.
Disney allows us to experience farming of the past, and we get a first hand look at what farming will look like in the future. I personally enjoy looking for the Mickey pumpkin!
Don’t worry, the ride isn’t closed because someone tried to steal a cucumber! Disney never gave a reason for the closure, but we were told it had something to do with a fire alarm malfunctioning. Hollywood Studios and the Polynesian both had fire alarm triggers that week as well.
Reopened
After a two-week closure, Living with the Land has reopened today, September 3.
Living with the Land is open again!
My Disney Experience briefly had wait times listed for the attraction last week, but that turned out to be a glitch. There is no official word from Disney on what the issue is, but we anticipate some major unplanned work was needed due to the sudden closure.
This is a great attraction to experience while you are in the Land Pavilion! Check out the Awesome Planet show and travel around the globe on Soarin’.
