Disney World guests missed out on one of the most popular Disney rides ever today! Check out all the details here.
Favorite Guest Attractions
In each Disney World theme park, there are not-to-be-missed attractions. In Magic Kingdom, people either rush to Tomorrowland for Space Mountain or Fantasyland for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
Then, in Animal Kingdom, Flight of Passage tops guests lists! At EPCOT, you’ll see rope drop guests flock to either Frozen or Test Track.
Last, but not least, is Hollywood Studios. Several new rides are fan favorites. For example, guests can choose from Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway or Slinky Dog Dash. Those are two of my (Susan) personal favorites.
However, Rise of the Resistance is the attraction that makes people want to visit Hollywood Studios.
Virtual Queue Needed
All Guests seeking a virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance need a valid Park Reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios at 7:00am and then again at 1:00pm. Typically, these Boarding Groups are filled within seconds.
Recently, Disney made a positive change for those competing for boarding groups. Now, MyDisneyExperience automatically selects AND CONFIRMS everyone in your traveling party who is eligible. This cuts down on frustration and anxiety by reducing a step in this process.
Boarding Groups not Guaranteed to Ride
A Virtual Queue Boarding Group does not guarantee guest will actually experience Rise of the Resistance. Instead, boarding groups holds your place in the virtual line for this attraction.
Attraction Down All Day
We are unsure if boarding groups were distributed today, but we do know that none have been called! That’s right, Rise of the Resistance has not loaded a single Guest today.
Rise of the Resistance has not been operating the entire day!!
With 5 hours to go until closing, Rise of the Resistance may not open tonight either. Time will tell how long this closure will last.
Guests at Hollywood Studios are sure to be disappointed. I (Susan) know I would be! Also, when a ride this wildly popular is down, other attractions typically have longer wait times. We hope Disney gets Rise operating again soon so everyone can experience it.
