New 50th Anniversary Addition to this Classic Nighttime Show

Are you planning a trip for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World? There are so many magical entertainment options to enjoy, and now we have an exciting new magical overlay to share with you. Check out how you can enjoy this Magical Celebration even outside the Disney Parks.

50th Anniversary Celebrations

Preparations are almost complete as Cast Members work to make this a magical celebration for all Guests. Cinderella Castle, The Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth, and Tower of Terror will be transformed nightly into “Beacons of Magic.”

Our favorite Disney pals will be outfitted in Ear-idescent new looks. And we’ll even get a new nighttime spectacular show at Magic Kingdom and Epcot! Plus, there is a fun daytime show, Disney KiteTails in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Electrical Water Pageant

One often overlooked nighttime entertainment offering is the Electrical Water Pageant. When Walt Disney World first opening in 1971, the Electrical Water Pageant also debuted for “Dedication Day.” You can enjoy the rich history of this nighttime display HERE.

I remember enjoying this nighttime processional during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 1991. Although it has changed a bit through the years, it is still a sweet memory that people can enjoy together.

New 50th Anniversary Addition

The Walt Disney World Parks shared that the Electrical Water Pageant will also receive a new update for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.” Guests will soon be able to enjoy new celebration scenes. They did give us a small sneak peek of one of these celebration scenes. The 50th Anniversary Castle is truly radiant (as featured above).

The Electrical Water Pageant will also include a version of the celebration song “The Magic is Calling.” You can check out more about this amazing song HERE.

We can’t wait to enjoy this fun overlay for the Electrical Water Pageant. It is one of our favorite things to do outside of the Disney Parks at night, and this new magical overlay will definitely be a welcome addition.
