More things are returning to normal at Disney World. A morning show is returning – and just in time for a big event!
Let the Magic Begin
The morning show at Magic Kingdom is called “Let the Magic Begin” and is the daily opening ceremony.
Disney describes the show as: “Just before Magic Kingdom officially opens, make your way down Main Street, U.S.A. to the front of Cinderella Castle. Soon, the sound of trumpet fanfare bursts through the morning air, signaling the arrival of the Royal Herald.
There, you’re greeted by Mickey Mouse himself – along with a special Disney surprise you’ll have to experience to believe!”
You can see a video from Disney Parks Blog 4 years ago when the show originally debuted:
Triumphant Return
The morning show has been unavailable since March 2020 when the parks shut down. Due to physical distancing concerns, Disney decided to keep the show unavailable for the time being.
However, with physical distancing being a thing of the past in the theme parks, Let the Magic Begin will return beginning October 1! That’s the 50th anniversary of Disney World!
The show starts 5 minutes before official park opening, so be sure to use Character Locator‘s crowd calendars so you know when the park opens on the day you plan to be there.
Morning Show or Rope Drop?
If you are like me (Monica), you favor rope drop over watching the morning show. I would much rather be able to get in line for my favorite ride first thing to minimize the time I spend waiting in line.
With Early Theme Park Entry, I may try to ride a headliner or two in Fantasyland and quickly make my way back to the Castle stage area for the show.
