An Epcot attraction is now closing early on select nights

Not every ride is open when the park is. An Epcot attraction is now closing early on select nights. The schedule is pretty odd – be sure to check this out if you are visiting Disney World soon.

Living with the Land allows Guests to “sail through the greenhouse of The Land Pavilion on a boat tour and feast your eyes on edible food crops from around the world.”

Disney allows us to experience farming of the past, and we get a first hand look at what farming will look like in the future. I personally enjoy looking for the Mickey pumpkin!

The ride unexpectedly closed on August 20 and remained unavailable for almost two weeks! This was unplanned but may have been related to the fire alarm issue the attraction experienced.

Fortunately, it reopened on September 3 – just in time for Labor Day Weekend!

Odd Schedule

As we approach the 50th anniversary, the operating hours for Living with the Land are a bit odd. For the rest of September, Epcot closes at either 9 or 10 pm.

However, Living with the Land closes at random times. It closes at 7 pm on the following dates:

Friday, September 24 and September 26 – 30

The only night it closes with the park is Saturday, September 25.

Looking at October, it closes at 10 pm with the park on October 1 and 2, which is understandable considering the crowds that will be in the park. Oddly, however, Living with the Land closes at 5 pm October 3 – 10. Then, on October 11 through the end of the month it closes at 10 pm with the rest of Epcot.

We are unsure why Living with the Land has such strange hours for the next few weeks. Stay tuned and we will continue to update our information as needed!

Be sure to subscribe to Character Locator so you know the operating hours for the parks you plan to visit! Also be sure to adjust your touring plan accordingly for the early closures listed above.
